Miss SDG Nigeria (MSDG) pageant is a relatively new beauty pageant that was launched in 2016, founded by a Swedish entrepreneur named Johan Erikson, who was inspired by the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals with a mission to promote the UN SDG and empower young women to be agents of positive change in their communities.
The MSDGN pageant is open to Nigerian women between the ages of 18 and 30 from around the world who are passionate about the Sustainable Development Goals (MSDG) and are committed to making a positive impact in their communities. The winners portrays exemplary qualities and serves as a role model for young women in the country and beyond.
The pageant has a strong focus on sustainability and social responsibility, and contestants are judged not only on their physical appearance but also on their knowledge of the MSDG and their ability to articulate how they plan to contribute to the achievement of these goals.
We envision to empower Nigeria women to drive sustainable development goals and purpose through beauty pageantry. Our mission is to inspire and equip Nigeria women to champion sustainable development, leveraging their beauty, intellect, and influence to create positive impact and advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG).
